How can a mentor help you with nutrition goals? In my experience, there are four main reasons:
- Why Reinvent Yourself? Clients have big goals during their initial appointments. They come to me with things they want to achieve right now or at least 5 minutes ago. My approach is one of mentoring and patience. Starting with what you’re already doing and building from there is your best bet to success.
- Achieve The Attainable. Working with a mentor can help us achieve our potential so much quicker than on our own. Setting short and long term goals, keeping regular appointments, and staying in contact between sessions can help. Often clients realize that the smaller, more achievable goals are great enough – and they stick.
- Implement With Success. Trying to find success without a team approach can seem daunting. Utilizing other professionals can help in the mentoring process. Excellent therapists, exercise specialists, and medical or alternative medicine clinicians are imperative. I always have many other names well matched to current clients up my sleeve.
- Stay Out of Your Own Way. Who is usually your biggest obstacle to success? Exactly (are you looking at yourself in the mirror right now ? ). It’s getting away from core limiting beliefs. This process can take a while – it took a while to get where you are. Believing you are the most important person in your own success is key.
