Robyn’s Monthly Morsel
For nutrition and reading lovers we have two books to recommend for summer that are very different and just amazing.
Kara Lydon RD, LDN, RYT, released her e-book, Nourish Your Namaste, this spring. You cannot get better advice in terms of yoga poses, recipes, and lists of foods, all of which inspire and balance both separately and together. Kara believes nutrition and yoga have the power to heal and looks at both of these as forms of medicine. Truly inspiring!
Wall Street Journal foreign correspondent and author Roger Thurow has written a new book called, The First 1,000 Days. This book highlights the importance of good maternal and child nutrition in the critical window of human development, from the beginning of a mother’s pregnancy through her child’s second birthday. The book examines this issue through the personal stories of mothers in Uganda, India, Guatemala, and the South Side of Chicago. For a quick video taste of the book, watch this.
Happy summer reading!
